ABSTRACT
Based on the cases we are presenting, Digenia simplex seems to have a bright future as a substitute in the treatment of ascariasis and possibly of other intestinal worms. Our observations have led us to make the following conclusions: (1) The effectiveness of the drug (73.61%) holds a big promise, especially if we consider it together with other qualities that it possesses(2) The drug is non-toxic, a requisite which makes it superior to all other drugs commonly used in the local treatment of intestinal parasitism(3) The drug can be administered under any circumstances without the necessity of preparing the patient prior to the actual taking in of the medicine(4) The case of preparation and the local availability and abundance of the raw material are added advantages over those imported from other countries. (Conclusion)
ABSTRACT
Inoculation of triple vaccine was followed by various reactions. In general, the local reactions were relatively more frequent than the general reactions. The most frequent of them all was pain; but, in the third injection, its frequency was much less. (Summary)

VaccinesABSTRACT
Our study of 5,039 individuals consisting of three groups of population may be summarized as follows: 1. Out of the 5,039 individuals examined 3,716 or 73.74 per cent had one or more C.E.F. teeth2. The more older people there are in a group the higher is the dental caries prevalence rates3. In the population groups under study there is not definite sex predilection of caries4. The attack rate is higher in groups with more adult persons, a finding in favor of the generally accepted view that dental caries is cumulative5. A conservative estimate in the groups of population under study places the loss due to caries at P126,216.00, or when the evaluation is made on a basis of lower value the cost of dental caries will still reach the high value of P 96,968.00 for the 5,039 persons examined.
